Welcome to Merrylegs Falabellas

2012 Falabella foals at Merrylegs stud

We breed the rarest of falabella colours including the  very rare blue eyed overo Falabellas and pinto Falabellas, Palominos, and Appaloosas.  We also have Falabellas with Blazes and socks! Where else would you see this? - Our Appaloosa stallion - Guiness - is trying very hard to add the spots! You may well find find that most of the best blue eyed Falabellas in the UK actually come from own fabulous Stallion Monty.  Monty's foals are featured in Calendars as well because of their beauty and rarity.

Our Falabella Horses colours

We are very careful about what we breed and  select our falabella horses for conformation and temperament to ensure that if any of these lovely horses should move on to another home they will command the love and attention that they deserve. We have colours here that you will never see any where else and our horses are elegant like true miniature horses.  Merrylegs Galadriel - this rare blue eyed filly has ben sold to Chater Valley farm in Rutland UK

Our Horses are all Fully Papered
Our horses are all pedigree and registered with either the British Falabella studbook or the European Falabella stamboek in Holland..  In addition some are also registered with the Falabella miniature horse association of America (FMHA) as well. If we state that any of our horses are pure bred their lines can be tracked back to the ranch in Argentina and they are DNA tested to prove their heritage.

Burt, our Palomino Tobiano Falabella stallion registered with Argentina

Some of our horses are registered also with the ACCF - the Argentine studbook which means that their lines are direct 'Falabella' lines and all foals have been 'tracked' .

Responsible Breeding - we also follow a policy of responsible breeding so we do not celia_redinbreed more than 5% where possible - hence our inbreeding database on our main menu - and we do not sell any horses until they are ready to go.  If they have any personality or physical problems they will stay here until they have matured and the problems have been corrected.  If this not possible they will remain with us.
